Tax relief for US brewers. Where's NZ at?

"On Tuesday, members introduced H.R 836, the fantastically-named Brewers Excise and Economic Relief (BEER) Act, which repeals increases in the federal beer excise tax, effectively returning it to its pre-1991 level of $9 a barrel. The bill also includes specific provisions for small brewers, reducing their tax burden by half."

Far more useful from an economic point of view than sending good money after bad in the form of bailouts and "stimulus packages".

Here's hoping our Government sees fit to follow suit.
