Stewards - Brew NZ 2006
I am seeking expressions of interest from people who are interested in being a Steward at the Brew NZ Beer Awards in September.
The Stewards serve hundreds of beers in a blind tasting to the judging panel. As the Chief Steward, I am looking to put together a team of people who know beer, who love beer and know how it should be treated and presented.
This seemed like a good place to advertise.
The judging takes place 4-6 September and set-up/breakdown work is scheduled for 1, 3 and 6 September.
People do not have to be able to commit to every session but some moving and a couple of judging days would be appreciated. The Monday and Tuesday are busier than the Wednesday so I will be looking to have a big team on those days. The Thursday clean-up is also important.
The Steward is a valued but unpaid role but you will get a free ticket to the big awards dinner at Parliament, some perks, the chance to interact with the judges and the opportunity to learn more about beer competitions.
It is also a lot of fun.
