Well, they know sod-all about poitin at Stuff, do they? Firstly it's pronounced "putcheen" and secondly, it has been available legally in Ireland for years, albeit in an insipid, watered-down 40 percent version. God it pisses me off when people debase my culture with impunity (Murphy's Law "Oirish" pubs anyone?). There is no way that legal poitin can ever re-create the unique mix of fire and madness to be had in the genuine drop. If anyone wants to taste the real drop contact me and I'll get some of the pure cratur for you.
